Balancer Tales

Balancer Nethiero wakes only to find out he's needed for an urgent assignment. As the youngest of the Balancers, he is always eager to prove himself and promptly assists his friends when they're summoned. 

But Nethiero could have never expected what his presence was ultimately requested for.

A pair of Frossila twins attempt to teach Balancer Nethiero how to fuse his lightfyre breath with ice. It is quite difficult at first, but he eventually begins to understand. Little did Nethiero realize his skills would be tested in a far more dangerous way--- one that left no room for error.

The day of the annual Fellowship Feast has arrived, and it's Balancer Nethiero's first time participating. His fellow Balancer, Luna, helps him learn the proper methods of what to do for the event. Initially, Nethiero is nervous about being in the presence of so many powerful dragons. With Luna assisting him, however, he assumed he would have no problem during the feast. 

But when had things ever gone the way Nethiero expected?

Before any dragons had the chance to eat, Balancer Nethiero must be tested by each monarch of Creowyn present. No one had previously told him of his "Initiation" as a new Balancer, but by now it was too late. If Nethiero wants to gain the approval of all the dragon kings and queens, he will have to pass a variety of tests. These include withstanding dragon breath head-on, answering difficult questions honestly, and proving his abilities in a life-threatening situation. 

All in all, a perfectly ordinary lunch meeting for dragons.

The climax of the Fellowship Feast! The perspective switches to Balancer Luna, who doesn't feel too well after Nethiero's Induction. She tries to maintain casual conversation with the other dragon monarchs, but can't stop thinking about the Silgail King, Scarcor. As Luna learns more about the current events in Creowyn, she hopes her life won't have to be put in danger anymore.

Thus begins Balancer Tales from a new POV.

Balancer Luna's life is back to normal. Every one of her fellow Balancers seem to have gone back to their typical routines as well. But Luna isn't happy with all of them. She tried to get Malcerr, her older adopted brother, to join her at the Pristine Markets. Things seem to be going well until a Silgail disrupts the proceedings. Hopefully, Luna can still find a way to save the day. But can she overcome her recent fear with the Silgail King?
