Hot-tempered dragons with fireproof scales, Cyndras love the heat and make their lairs inside the massive volcanoes of the Kalyrus Mountains. They take pleasure in hoarding gems, which they carve out using their tough beaks. Cyndras breath scorching-hot flames that burn anything they touch within seconds. The manes of fire that blaze around their horns are completely harmless and will grow or shrink in relation to what a Cyndra is currently feeling. They are bitter rivals with Frossilas, neither of which can stay long inside each other's kingdoms.
Terrain
Primarily composed of five tremendous volcanoes. Inside the kingdom, the land is mostly ash and rock. Small lava pools are scattered throughout the hot stones, while small streams occasionally flow from the volcanoes. Along with the five volcanoes, several smaller mountains help make up the border of the Cyndra Kingdom. Outside the mountains lie vast stretches of desert sands. The parched land is mostly flat, with a few scattered sand dunes rising just a bit higher. Small caves are present under the sand, as well as quicksand pits— which aren’t as common, fortunately.
Habitation
Cyndra dragons dwell inside each of the five volcanoes based on the color of the gems they wear. The royal family resides in Castle Forgeis, which was built partially into the Fifth Volcano. All dragons who serve under the Cyndra monarch live in the castle as well. Multiple caves around the gargantuan volcanoes still remain vacant, providing young Cyndrets with many possible places to reside in the future.
Predators & Prey
Dune Worms are the primary— and only— threats to Cyndras. These giant, carnivorous worms use their sticky saliva to trap dragons in their mouths before gulping them down. Their smooth, brown bodies also secrete sticky mucus, which dragons must be mindful of when encountering a Dune Worm.
Very few creatures can survive in the harsh heat of the Kalyrus Mountain. Therefore, Cyndras hunt the fish and lizards that either swim in lava or bury themselves in the desert sand. A favorite food among Cyndras is the crafty carkle, a bright orange lizard that is incredibly speedy and hard to catch.

Calm, clever, and quite the perfectionists, these ice-breathing dragons dwell in the frigid Sheer Glaciers. Frossilas hoard ice pottery, which they learn to carve themselves. The process is tedious and requires several years of training with their sharp tails to make precise cuts. Their tail spikes aren’t only used for artistry, however, as Frossilas also make use of them for hunting their favorite food: cryosharks. Frossila eyes are always colored black, giving them an emotionless appearance. The only dragons that they have any enmity with are Cyndras, who Frossilas regard as brainless and destructive.
Sheer Glaciers - Frossila Kingdom
Terrain
Primarily composed of two massive glaciers. So much snow covers the ground that no one truly knows what kind of terrain lies beneath. Sparse forests dot the landscape, mostly with trees such as spruce or pine. Greymelt trees are less present, and their leaves can provide dragons with warmth under their scales for an entire day. All frozen rivers lead from the border to the center of the kingdom. Long, winding underground tunnels stretch from underneath Castle Winnuen all around the Sheer Glaciers, which are where the male Frossilas were made to live. Massive frozen lakes, patches of quicksnow, and a few larger mountains make up the rest of the land. Other than the rivers and lakes of ice, the Frossila Kingdom isn’t a very safe environment to travel in.
Habitation
Frossila dragons will make their homes just about anywhere. As long as there’s enough space in a cave for ice carvings, they don’t need much else. All direct members of the Frossila Royal Family dwell inside Castle Winnuen. If there are any distant family relationships, they still don’t automatically receive the privilege. While most Frossilas tend to find caves in the glaciers near the castle, some may find places to live farther out in the kingdom, or even near the border.
Predators & Prey
There are two main predators of Frossilas. Garganfangs will often hunt Frossilas who are hunting for prey themselves on the ice floes along the border. On land, Glacier Wolves will hunt Frossila hatchlings or eggs. Despite this, some Frossilas have learned to tame a few of these feral wolves.
Not too many creatures can survive the bitter cold of the Sheer Glaciers. Frossilas will sometimes hunt on land, seeking out the small, furry critters that live near the trees. Most often, Frossilas hunt in the water, using their sharp tail barbs to fish on the ice floes. Their favorite food is cryosharks, which only come out during Glimmer Season.

The friendliest and most peaceful of all dragons in Creowyn, these plant-like dragons make their homes in the lush Emerald Plains. Terras possess a rather unusual element, named solar, which affects plants more than anything else. Solar breath allows these good-natured dragons to grow hundreds of different plants with several distinctive purposes. Some are grown for decoration, since Terras adore hoarding the most special flowers they can find. Others produce fruits and vegetables for food, while a rare few plants can be used for self-defense. Terras only care about creating things to share with other dragons and hardly care for any sort of conflict. Trees are a source of life for Terras, and if such plants ever grow sick and wither away, the dragons who tend to them will experience similar effects.
Emerald Plains - Terra Kingdom
Terrain
Primarily composed of vast meadows and grassy hills. Several streams, trees, and lakes are present as well, most of which provide nourishment to all creatures. Towering tribark trees used to grow all over the land, but now only one remains. Several kinds of animals and plants live in the Emerald Plains, providing it with more inhabitants than any other kingdom. Terra dragons created bountiful gardens that feature all kinds of fruits and vegetables, and some have trees with long vines to cover the plants that need more shade. Instead of a castle of sorts, the Terras built Iris Sanctuary, a beautiful place where all dragons are invited to eat, sleep, and enjoy each others’ company.
Habitation
Terra dragons aren’t afraid to make their homes in a more exposed location. While some may fancy caves or dens, others will simply make nests in or near trees. Unlike most other dragon societies, Iris Sanctuary is open to all dragons— not just the Terra Royal Family. While the Terra monarchs were meant to live in the sanctuary, a few rulers have made their dwelling places elsewhere. Due to the peaceful state of the Terra Kingdom, dragons can make their homes almost anywhere.
Predators & Prey
No known predators exist in the Emerald Plains. All the dangerous creatures dwell in the neighboring jungles across the border instead. The Terras are only concerned about the insects and small critters that may try to spoil the crops they grow.
Terra dragons are herbivores. Fortunately for them, there are plenty of different fruits and vegetables to choose from. Other dragons, however, view the Emerald Plains as a natural buffet. Seemingly endless amounts of animals are present to hunt, including schools of fish in the rivers, herds of beasts in the fields, and flocks of birds in the sky. The Terras strongly discourage other dragons from eating all the other animals, and they try their best to make sure there are plenty to survive and thrive.

These amphibious dragons possess the most features of all the species in Creowyn. Vivoxes require rather unique bodies to live in the dangerous Murkwood Jungles, in which they tend to make their lairs under toxic pools. They have several ways in which they can hunt prey or defend themselves from hostile dragons. Poisonous venom spray, acidic paralyzing gas, and lethal tail barbs are just a few examples. Above all, Vivoxes are especially vain, and love nothing more than to gaze upon themselves in the countless mirrors and glass artifacts they hoard. The dragons Vivoxes can’t stand the most are their neighbors— the Terras— since their peaceful nature goes against the hostile standards they live by.
Murkwood Jungles - Vivox Kingdom
Terrain
Primarily composed of dense jungle trees and acidic ponds. The air always smells fetid, and there are very few sources of light under the large leaves. Carnivorous plants infest the ground, large enough to easily consume full grown dragons. Likewise, giant reptiles, such as poisonous snakes and crocodiles that swim in acid, prowl around every corner of the humid jungle. Every step in this unpleasant land must be taken carefully. It is nearly impossible to find anything delightful, even the fruit that grows in it is often poisonous. Unlike most other dragons, Vivoxes hardly care about tending to their land. They wouldn’t mind if the great vines of the jungle snaked around the neighboring Emerald Plains.
Habitation
Vivox dragons love their privacy. Because they are amphibious, they make their homes under the deep acid lakes and ponds, since the toxic waters also do not harm them. On the surface, Vivoxes will make nests high up in the branches of the jungle trees. Their prehensile tails utilize the vines effectively for travel and ease of access to move up and down the trees. The Vivox Royal Family dwells in the largest acid lake, where Castle Aquiar lies underneath. If desired, the castle can be drained of acid for visiting guests. To bring visitors through the toxic waters, Vivoxes use the mouths of gargantuan crocodiles for safe passage— an unsettling yet effective solution.
Predators & Prey
The Murkwood Jungles are home to the most predators in Creowyn. Skrowls are the most deadly, which inhabit the acidic waters. Such eels are huge, fast, and above all, venomous. Several different kinds of giant snakes are no small threat to dragons. Even smaller creatures, such as poisonous frogs or insects, can be incredibly dangerous.
What Vivoxes view as prey are distasteful to all other dragons. This is due to their tolerance for raw meat, among other repulsive tasting insects or fruits. It is impossible for a Vivox to become naturally ill. Thus, they have no fear about eating food that would make most other consumers sick.

Vicious and sleek, these silver scaled dragons live rough lives in the treacherous Platinum Cliffs. The steep terrain is brutal and harsh, just like their attitude. Silgails are the cruelest of dragons, boasting the hardest scales of any species along with a destructive, razor-sharp wing breath. Due to the weight of these scales, Silgails are unable to swim and tend to avoid any large bodies of liquid for fear of drowning. These dragons are born fighters, as they often prize the horns of their fallen victims. The favorite treasure of Silgails is silver, which they also use to decorate the horns they collect. Silgails tend to treat most other dragons with indifference, although they have a slightly larger distaste toward Pristines.
Citatdel Dominus (right)
Platinum Cliffs - Silgail Kingdom
Terrain
Primarily composed of several tall, narrow cliffs. There is little to see in the Silgail Kingdom, aside from the fortresses that have been made from the dragons who live in them. At the bottom of the steep cliffs are jagged stones that appear almost as spikes at the end of a pitfall trap. On the largest cliff face lies Citadel Dominus, a symbol of the sheer toughness and brutality of the Silgails. Ironically, most dragons consider it as the most appealing capital to live in out of all the others. The fortresses are just the opposite, where their primary function is to house a Silgail General’s squadron for training and combat preparation.
Habitation
Silgail Dragons don’t have much to work with in the Platinum Cliffs. They are fortunate enough just to find a decent sized cave on the side of the hard, grey stone. Silgails often resort to making their homes on the tiniest of outcroppings, with very little space to do much of anything. If nothing else can be found, a Silgail may choose to dwell in one of the fortresses at a price— they must be willing to join the squadron of the general in charge. As for the Silgail Royal Family, all members, whether direct or not, are allowed to live inside Citadel Dominus.
Predators & Prey
Only two animals exist in the Platinum Cliffs. Aerwings are predators, featuring large, powerful wings and incredibly sharp talons. Very few of the vicious birds still exist, but even the sight of one is enough to bring fear to most dragons.
Another creature that must be wary of Aerwings are the silver cats. Silgails cherish them due to the color of their fluffy fur— other than the fact that they simply make good pets. Silver cats have sharp, retractable claws, which they use to climb the steep cliffs with ease. They use these claws not only to scale the cliffs to hunt for fish on the borders of the sea, but also to escape the clutches of Aerwings.

After the reign of Pristine King Thatador, all these dragons tragically became extinct. During their lifetime, Voltii used their highly intelligent minds and electrical breath to create mechanical masterpieces. They managed to transform their barren, deserted kingdom into an entire cityscape powered by their electricity. The most significant creations of the Voltii were the Dracoids, artificial dragons who once aided the dragons of Creowyn with several different tasks.
Dracoids helped to build the castles of each kingdom, kept young dragons and hatchlings safe, and even produced an archive to keep track of historic events. Voltii cherished knowledge, and therefore hoarded as many scrolls as possible. Though extinct, the other dragons of Creowyn still pay their respects to the Voltii on Reverence Day, created by Pristine King Malcerr.
Magnus Wastelands - Voltii Kingdom
Terrain
Primarily composed of mesa plateaus. Before the extinction of the Voltii dragons, the land used to be called the Magnus Metropolis. The Great Scorching had proceeded not only to wipe out the electric dragons, but had also incinerated the entire city they built into rubble. Presently, the land remains scarred and barren, an old crust of what it once was. The only structures that weren’t completely destroyed by fire were Castle Ghaer and one of the Dracoid factories. With no dragons left with the knowledge of how to maintain them, both buildings continue to slowly decay over time.
Habitation
Voltii dragons used to build their own homes in the city with the help of the Dracoids. However, none of these houses are left, leaving the mesa plateaus flat and empty.
Predators & Prey
The Magnus Wastelands are completely devoid of life. No creatures were left alive— even the smallest of insects. Even if birds were to somehow stray across the land, the natural, magnetic pull of the rocks under the mesa’s surface would hinder their survival. The Voltii had once neutralized this strange effect of their homeland, but without them, the enchanted downward pull of force is constant.

High up in the Illumorous Clouds dwell the revered dragons of light, sitting right in the center of Creowyn. Pristines watch over the other lands of the world with diligence, serving as peacekeepers and enforcers of universal dragon law. The Pristine King holds the highest power in Creowyn and has the right to make any decree without question. Carpets of all shapes and sizes are the favored treasure of Pristines, which work well with the soft clouds they live upon. Lightfyre is their breath weapon, which can be used in several ways.
In a brief explanation, Pristines can use lightfyre to either heal or harm targets. On its own, the power of light heals wounds and can dispel its dark counterpart, fellsmog. Pristines also use this to “Pristify” the oceans of Creowyn, where all dragons must drink weekly to restore their inner element. After absorbing enough light, however, lightfyre becomes deadly to dragons, capable of penetrating their inner element and burning it. There are no dragons that Pristines consider enemies except for their fallen brethren, the Umbrai.
Illumorous Clouds - Pristine Kingdom
Terrain
Primarily composed of large, stationary golden clouds. The Illumorous Clouds float right in the center of Creowyn, serving as an effective vantage point for the Pristines to watch over the other dragon kingdoms. A small pool of water sits in the middle of the largest cloud, which some dragons believe can be used as a gateway to other worlds. The temperature is always pleasant, and the weather is always clear and bright. In addition, it is universally agreed that the Illumorous Clouds are a perfect, peaceful paradise for dragons. The name of the cloudglass palace changes with every new Pristine King, as is traditional. A temple also rests near to the palace, serving as a home for the dragons who directly serve the Pristine King.
Habitation
Pristine dragons learned how to create cloudglass by heating clouds. The sparkly white material is light, yet sturdy. On top of the clouds, Pristines make their roosts out of this special glass. The light dragons prefer to have open roofs and open windows, leaving plenty of space for sunlight and fresh breezes. All members of the Pristine Royal Family live in the palace made of cloudglass. It sits alone on a single large cloud, spanning its entire width. The temple sits near to it on a smaller cloud. The two great buildings are presently named Malcerr’s Palace and Prism Temple, all based on the current Pristine King, Malcerr.
Predators & Prey
There are no predators in the Illumorous Clouds. Only a few birds who are capable of flying great heights can be found in the Pristine Kingdom. Most notable are cloudtails, which only Pristine dragons can tame. They are the light dragons’ preferred pet. Additionally, some Pristines have even learned to communicate with the fluffy white birds.

Often the subject of nightmare stories, these dragons were once Pristines who gave up their light for the untamed power of fellsmog. They live underneath the Illumorous Clouds in the Swamps of Origin, where the very center of Creowyn lies. There is nothing good left within them, and in its place is the greedy desire to corrupt Creowyn and bring dragons as much suffering as possible.
An Umbrai’s fellsmog hastens the eventual fading of a dragon’s inner element, at which point the body is too old to carry on and passes away. On top of this, Umbrai can produce black venom from their fangs, which influences the minds of other dragons. They often leak it into the oceans of Creowyn when not currently being Pristifed as they seek widespread control. If black venom enters inside a dragon, they are at the mercy of the Umbrai who produced it. When corrupting another’s mind, an Umbrai can whisper persuasive thoughts to their victim, and even bring them horrific nightmares. Dragons are easily tempted to commit foul deeds, and the only way the black venom can be expelled is through a powerful use of the element of light.
Umbrai are constantly at war with the Pristines, even in their weakened state brought upon them by former Pristine King Thatador’s judgement. If they ever return to their full might, Creowyn could very well be doomed to darkness.
Swamps of Origin - Umbrai Kingdom
Terrain
Primarily composed of dark, thick marshes. These nightmarish swamps didn’t originally exist in Creowyn to begin with. After Pristine King Thatador forced all the Umbrai to live under the Pristine’s watchful eyes, the dragons of darkness corrupted the islands there into a dreadful realm of shadow. Not a single dragon has ever touched a claw down in the Swamps of Origin, and for good reason. Umbrai lurk in every corner, seeking to kill or corrupt all life. According to rumor, the entire land is pitch black, along with the swampy waters that could drown a dragon in seconds.
Habitation
Umbrai dragons dwell in every possible dark corner they can find. However, even they fear being drowned in the thick, murky swamp water. Most Umbrai stick to the marshy borders of their so-called kingdom, where they constantly infect the ocean waters with black venom. If any venom manages to escape the watch of a Pristine, the Umbrai who leaked it into the sea will anxiously lie in wait for an unfortunate dragon to ingest the corrupted water.
Predators & Prey
No creatures exist in the Swamps of Origin other than Umbrai dragons. If fish or birds do come near, they are either eaten or savagely killed. Just like all the other dragons in Creowyn, even the fiercest of animals know not to go near the foul land of darkness.
